espey_16
Hey yall, Im in the middle of swapping an EA81 from an 86 hatch 4x4, into an 82 sedan 2wd. I have the flywheels swapped and a new clutch, and new head, intake, valve cover, exaust, and oil filler gasgets installed. The problem I came across is, the distributer from the 82, has a 3 wire plug on it, and the one from the 86, has only 2 wires. Is it ok to swap the disty from the 82 engine, onto the 86 engine??? 86BRATMAN
If you are using your car's stock electronics then you should use the 82 model distributor. It should slide right into place. Just be sure it lines up right. And you'll be golden
