The point I was making is that he doesn't have to study the wiring diagrams. You could hand him the JDM wiring harness, the USDM wiring harness to the vehicle he's installing it into, and he'd be able to complete it PROPERLY from memory.

Next time you run by his shop, ask him about wiring an ej22t from a 91 t-legacy into an 87 hatch back for me....

OK, you are the god of Subaru wiring. Happy?

The point of this thread was to recommend a competent shop/mechanic in the Sonoma County, CA/North Bay Area. I think that was accomplished. Not sure if your input is really that valuable to the OP seeing as you're in Virginia...

Thanks to all who cared enough to reply. I really appreciate it!

I have pasted here the items listed on a website for the 60K service (for $400.00)

"Valvoline Brand Everything...This includes, Motor Oil, Tranny Oil, Diff Oil, and Brake Fluid. All Weather Coolant, Subaru OEM Fuel Filter, spark plugs, and Air Filter, Rotate Tires, Washer Fluid, Check Tire Pressure, Torque Wheels, and Inspect Drivetrain/Belts"

I have replaced ALL the lubricants (Oil, Tranny and both Diffs and Brake fluid) with Synthetic fluids at 12,500 Miles. When would you suggest I replace these fluids (Minus the Oil, of course) I have replaced the front and rear brakes and resurfaced all rotors in July 2006.

I would appreciate your input!

Thanks

Rob

I know nothing about working on Subie's but,

My indepented Subaru mechanic asked us to bring our 2005 OB in for the 60K service early enough that if he found any leaks or drive train issues we would have time to get it into the dealer before the 60K drive train warrenty expired.
