dj fbi Posted August 15, 2007 Share Posted August 15, 2007 Just woundering were i set my cams to right placeas i have just put on new heads, ive set cyl 1 to 20 deg btdc and i know the cam are set at 180 degs apart so is one set at 12 o'clock and the other at 6 o'clock? there is a white out mark on the timing covers the drivers side (australia) one is at about 10.30 and the other is is 180 deg diffrence at 4.30 is this right? ive have also just put a tdo4 on her:headbang: should the timing be any different? thanks for any input. Gloyale Posted August 15, 2007 Share Posted August 15, 2007 Set the cams at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock with the crank positioned on the center of the 3 lines(seperate from the degree lines) Once the belts are on, if they are correct, the Cams will be like you said at 10:30 and 4:30 (45 degrees from straight up and down) When the engine is rotated to crank at 0 TDC Plug in the green connector under dash and then set timing with a timing light to 20 BTC Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
