99lego
So I am moving high into the mountains come September and am elated to say that now i finally have a reason to decrease my MPG. I NEED more ride height.....so the only thing i can think of is outback struts AND springs. my ride is a '99 lego 5mt SW. while i did a similar swap on a 94 lego GT I incorporated everything from OB suspension bushings to the frame member spacers (that part was a pain in the rump roast) yet I also swapped in the springs off of my 94 onto the strut of the donor OB. I don't want to do any of that again. Would it be feasible to just order some KYB's (struts AND springs) for a 99 OB SW, tear out the lego's (which have almost 70k on them), and throw the KYB's on with the strut tops and all? Would the new greater angle placed on the knuckles be too great? I guess what i am really asking is can you slap on some new OB sized struts AND springs on a legacy that has NO body lift and get away with it.....for a while at least without having major issues? 86BRATMAN
Your knuckles are the same as ob knuckles. So just bolt in the new strut spring combo, and go for an alinment.
Numbchux
Yes. the axles can take it. everything will bolt right up.
