Numbchux
my loyale used to be an automatic....and therefore does not have a hill holder (loyales may not have been available with them anyway...). it's now a 5-speed, and I live in a city full of hills.... I have the MC and HH from my old '85 in the garage, but I'm not exactly sure how I should go about plumbing these in. I haven't really taken a close look at them, so I probably could figure it out. but I thought I'd ask to see if anyone here has done it.
nipper
HH gets pluumbed into the left front brake line. You dont need to replace the MC. It has a cable that goes to the clutch fork. It mounts on the left front frame rail under the hood. Hopefully everything is there that you need. nipper

That would be news to me, since the HH is a pass thorugh device. I see on 1st subaru that there are differnt MC for manual vs automatic, but i dont recall if all soobies that year came with a HH. nipper
Reveeen
It's too dark here to look, but I can look at my Loyale in the AM, if you like?

PoorManzImpreza
Hillholder equiped cars have one LESS port on the MC than autos
86BRATMAN
Chux, I can snap a pic or two of the setup on the Xt in the daylight tomorrow, if it will help. And some of the 86 brat with HH and 84 wagon w/o HH.

86BRATMAN
The ea81's are different so I didn't bother with pics of them. I couldn't get a very good angle on these, but I hope it helps. The line closest to you in the last pictures runs to the HH unit, and then the line coming from the unit goes to the DS front brake. The others go to the passengers side front, and to the rear.
