I had to pick between giving up my 1990 Legacy 4wd auto 185k or my 1998 OBW Auto Limited 95k for a 2007 Honda Odyssey EXL (Family Truckster).

In the end I just could not let go of old blue (1990). I can still consider myself a Subaru guy.

BTW,

Thanks to all of those on this forum who talked me out of getting the Dodge Magnum awhile back. The Honda is somthing else. I like to think of it as low-riding, extended length, Pilot. Not a minivan.

Have heard some noise from people that got one of the high end Odyssey's with the run flat tires. (Michelin PAX System) They say you are forced to buy run flat's again, or replace the wheels, either choice being very expensive. Don't think you could go wrong with an Odyssey otherwise.

There are a lot of nasty hidden costs associated with run flat tires.

I own a 2003 Honda Odyssey EX-L and my wife and I love it. My wife swore she would never drive a minivan, but now she can't live without it. They go like a 7 seated rocket and keep pulling right up until redline. Before I purchased it, I was also considering the Toyota Sienna (the only other minivan given a good rating on Consumer Reports), but the Sienna only came with run-flats and no spare. Feedback from people that owned the Sienna indicated that the run-flats are a real PITA as replacing them was near impossible due to not many tire shops stocking them.
