Milemaker13
Cool Man! Can't wait to hear the results... I wonder how much they will be? I wonder if 7 of us will have the cash needed? Does anyone else think they would be interested? This will be a major undertalking IMO, so everyone would need to be rock solid if they wanted one. I need the price, then need to convince her! Thats gonna be the tuff part, am I right?
Hodaka Rider
You do all know that the only way you can register these for use on the road in the US is if you get someone who doesn't know what they're doing right? "against federal law to license these mini trucks for use on regualar public roads" Anyways, looks like the ones imported into the US also have to be equipped with a speed governor. We don't have to deal with that in Canada. Which land is the home of the free, again?

cobcob
You do all know that the only way you can register these for use on the road in the US is if you get someone who doesn't know what they're doing right? You do know that until you posted that any of us could have licensed them because we "didn't know what we were doing" right? Now we're all screwed... lol Here's the answer I got... Okay, no problem... the price will be less due to shipping if they are going to the Los Angeles area, since they come in through Long Beach. Here are the details for you: In response to your recent mini truck information request here is a breakdown of the details for a shipment of mini trucks from Japan. If you order a container of mini trucks, seven very nice ones can be placed in your container. We use a superior supplier who specializes in mini trucks. Jim, an American friend living in Japan, is our excellent quality mini truck source. Jim is the only one who had his governors officially approved by the EPA. Other suppliers only guess what will work. He and his main Japanese business partner select these better quality mini trucks for our US buyers. Jim's partner has gotten even better at what he does from our feedback since we started with him in 2004. We think you will be pleased too. Numerous suppliers of used mini trucks in Japan have contacted Best Used Tractors in their efforts to market their trucks. We give Jim those contacts, and he visits quite a few of them. He believes that his Japanese partner has trucks that are better on average than any supplier he has visited so far. We tried some other suppliers in Japan, and we were not happy with any of those others. See Jim's trucks at: http://best-used-tractors.com/containpics/trucks/ and http://best-used-tractors.com/containpics/jimstrucks Jim and his Japanese partner back up the mini trucks that they sell through us. The trucks are all gas driven units with manual transmissions. They are all right hand drive. They all have heaters. We currently only sell 4WD units. We sell only the 3 cylinder and 4 cylinder mini trucks. A few have air conditioning. There is no extra charge for units with air when the trucks are ordered in a container from Japan. A smaller number are mini dumps that are more expensive than standard units. Although these units are equipped with everything for public road use in Japan, in the US they can't be licensed for use on public roadways. Each truck we ship comes with an EPA approved governor that eliminates the use of the higher gears. The government will not allow the import of mini trucks without restricting them to lower than 25mph, and only with EPA approved governors. They may be only used off-road here. We have mini truck parts sources within the US, and Best Used Tractors shares our sources with those who buy mini trucks through us. Jim can also supply parts from Japan if some part were not available in the US. If you already need parts, our supplier in Japan has hundreds of parts trucks. He can also supply any needed new parts. Just let us know if you want to buy any parts to include in your container shipment of trucks. Although these mini trucks are 10 to 15 years old, our best supplier has operational units that run better and look sharper than any other suppliers we are aware of in Japan. If something beyond simple improvements needs fixing, then Best Used Tractors and our supplier will help meet your needs with parts and/or money to make it right. Other than that, dealers are expected to do their own replacing of anything like tires, batteries, fluids, and to make any minor repairs or detailing improvements themselves. In other words, Best-Used-Tractors and our supplier will help with more serious problems and the dealers are expected to take care of the basic reconditioning. Jim places boxed new air filters, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, condenser, air filter and oil filter in each truck shipped at no extra cost to you (see above photos links). We are now making it an option to order additional parts in your container order; you can see prices here. CONTAINER ORDERS - OUR BEST PRICE OPTION: A container of seven of these standard 4WD mini trucks, from 1988 to 1998, including the shipping to Los Angeles, CA, cargo insurance, steam cleaning charges, containerizing expenses, Japanese customs charges, and US customs charges - would run $21,800 delivered. This is a mixed container of (3) 1988 -1989 550cc engines and (4) 1990-1998 with the 660cc engine. We also offer an upgrade to the container, in which it would only contain all 660's with the years between 1990-1998 and adds an additional $700 to the price of the container. If you prefer to receive only 660's from 1995-1998 please add $2,100.00 to the base container price. Units from 2000 to 2003 are also available for a higher price. It takes about 8 weeks to receive your container of mini trucks delivered to your location directly from Japan. HIGHER PRICED UNITS AVAILABLE WITHIN THE US: For those who want trucks in one or two weeks we have a mid USA yard where we can provide trucks to you for $4,000.00 each (shipping to your location is separate). We will sell 4 to 10 units at this price level to dealers who need at least some of their trucks in a hurry. A few are available with air at $300.00 extra, and some have dif lock at $100 extra. You can choose your preferred make or makes. Sometimes higher priced extended cabs and deck vans are also available. Just tell us what you want. These trucks are not reconditioned, but they are checked over after landing in the US, so if they find any problems it can be fixed before the units are shipped to you. FREE REFERRAL BUSINESS: We constantly get large numbers of inquiries by those looking for individual mini trucks. We will refer to our mini truck buyers any of those inquiries that are close to you at no extra charge to help you sell your mini trucks even faster than you would on your own. Thank you for your interest, and let me know if you have any other questions.
