Zefy
for the rollbar i would go to a 4x4 shop and get one made... that'd probably be the easiest since most of the original rollbars are pretty beat up. good luck finding those BBS's...:-p there are a couple of wheels that'll fit your car and pretty much all of them are subaru wheels... besides that, look for peugeot wheels... (like the 505 and stuff...) they have the same bolt pattern but you need the funky lugs that they use... go hunt the junkyards for these wheels... if all else fails you can do the 6 lug swap... fully detailed in the USRM. the suby wheels are 4x140 while nissan, isuzu, toyota, chevy, ect ect used 6x140. so that opens up a whole bunch of wheel options if you're willing to either drill the wheels to 4 bolt or remove 2 studs and add 4 other ones to your hubs... sweet ride and good luck finding all the stuff! TheSubaruJunkie
I think i heard something that the Subaru WRC car used 4x140 4 lug BBS rims, like those pictured in his Photoshop. If that is the case, good luck scoring them for $500. Good luck even finding a set cause im sure they are special made just for Subaru to use in their WRC cars. That Brat looks like its in real good condition. Too bad someone put that horrid decal on the side. I like your idea better, but because the decal is larger and kinda uniform to the Brat itself. The rollbars still exist and can be found. Keep an eye open or post in the wanted section of this board. Depending on what side of the country you live on, determines your ease of locating one and the condition it is in. ALthough they are everywhere. -Brian

(pretty sure it's 98) they are only made for WRC cars and not at all available to consumers...

TheSubaruJunkie
Did they mention why they went from the 5 lug to the 4 lug pattern?
Zefy
i know it's kinda backwards... everybody else went from 4 lug to 5 lug... (ford, citroën, ect) from what i've been told it's due to weight reduction and less rotational mass. keeping in mind that there were many more changes than the obvious removal of 1 lug... that was the main reason i believe... H.K. Phooey
I took delivery today and had a great time driving it. She has some rust and she needs somne TLC. She is at the dealership now and they have offered to help me fix her for free. I got a ton of looks driving her down the freeway. The dealership is really going well beyond what I thought they would offer but want to display her out front while we play with her. She needs some tranny work and rear gear work as I found some leaks but these are easy to fix. She needs bushings and rust repair but over all, I'm very happy. I will find some Peugeots and powder coat them Rally Gold ASAP. This is fun for me. Thanks for the info and help. I look forward to being around for awhile. Thinks I need. Side mirror New Carpet New Shifter and Boot Shifter Dushings Or an Automatic swap would be nice(Marines left me with a hurt left leg) New Pedals all 3 Dash Pad Front and Rar Bumpers Mud Flaps Turn Signal covers for the front Any ideas? New or used? Thanks HKP
Zefy
here is how to fix that sloppy shifter linkage... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49954 i would highly recommend staying away from the autos for these cars... you can't run a newer auto trans on these motors because they have a different bell housing... they are slow and unhappy...
