The similarities between Subies & bunnies

They multiply!

I'm going tomorrow to pick up my new (to me) SVX. It's a brilliant red '96 LSi. LOTS of miles on this car, and it's original engine/trans (200,000+). It's got a few issues, blown airbags, broken windshield, faded paint, but nothing keeping it from being a daily for me.

I love SVXi. I've lusted after them since they were introduced in '92.

I'll post pics as soon as I get it home.

woah woah woah, broken windshield? not sure if you're aware, but this windshield alone is more than $1200, sometimes as much as $1400. call around for the best deal (since they'll all be getting their glass from the dealer anyways) but you're in for quite a hit to replace that glass....

Not!

Just had one installed the other day for $345. The only problem with aftermarket glass is the moulding/gasket. It does not come with it. But I think subaruparts.com has them now.

And the glass is not tinted, so it will not interfere with radar detectors, garage door remotes and toll passes.

fair enough,...the one I've seen done got OE glass put in it, and it was more than $1200.

Yeah, but at least we have a choice now.

Paul, subaruparts.com may have the gasket. I have been meaning to call to double check its the right one but havent had time. It might be a good idea to see if they do, cause any aftermarket glass will not. And if the installer doesnt take care when removing the old one, it will look like crap.
