Turbone
If your encountering problems with it during "normal" shifting............. Well, something isnt normal with your shifting:-p
DrKrazy
Umm yea going to have to agree with Turbone on this one... Or you have some messed up linkages.. But yes some of us have relocated at least the lo-hi part of it, and I sure you could just move the whole thing if you wanted. Here is the link to the write-up I did on the Lo/Hi stick that may help you a tad: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=71289
bluebaru
if its all jacked up(not sitting down to the console in fwd) from a lift kit or tranny swap like a 4spd to 5spd i guess it could interfere with the shifting...
Flowmastered87GL
its also an 85 so it has the shaped 4WD shifter instead of the nice low profile S shaped one with the tiny knob on the end that they used on 86+
GeneralDisorder
Install an 86+ lever if you don't like it. Save the 85 lever though - they are desireable. GD

So I'm guessing the trans was swapped. In that case, that's probably why it's interfering. My 1985 GL Dual Range shifter doesn't get in the way at all.
