newsoobdude
I've gone up worse in my stock 1998 Outback AND 1986 GL 4X4. I once had a roommate when I was living in Wyoming and took his extra low 1970 VW Squareback up and around Vida Voo (spelling?) National Park. His ride was ruffly 2.5 inches off the ground at the lowest point (spare tire well) and I only scraped it 3 times in the 15 miles I drove it on some worse looking stuff than that with a couple of buddies in the car to boot. (Worst thing that happened was knocking is NOS German horn off and dragging it down the wash board for half a mile ) Looking at that pic, I'd drive anything up it or down it, 4X2 or 4X4. SakoTGrimes
That's a bumpy road. A stock Gen-1 Brat certainly will tackle it, I've had mine in a spot where I was spinning at least 2 wheels and couldn't see the ground in front of me! BTW, let's see some more pics of that Brat! v8vega215
I will have to post my video, i was driving the powerline access road through the tillamook forest in orgon after it had been raining for about a month strait and the jeeps and fullsize trucks had rutted it out pretty bad, I just hit 6000rpms in first and flew up that hill in my 79brat with worn out motor and trans. I got about 6ft of air at the top and still had enough guts left in the truck to drive it back and fourth to work for about a year afterwords. I also use the brat as my hunting rig because it is the only thing i trust out in the middle of the woods where if i do break down it would be about a 2 day walk out. If you just get some decent tires (snow tires usualy have the best tread) you can go anywere. I recomend trying some motorcycle trails.
