cd45
I need a radio diagram for my 1984 Brat. Some nice guy from the board gave me one for the 1987 wagon that I have, now I need one for the Brat. Thanks.
hatchsub
By diagram do you mean..what color wire goes to what speaker and stuff like that. If you are planning on installing a modern radio then forget about wiring it to the factory wires. Subaru used a common ground for all the speakers in the car so you will have to run new wires to all the speakers. Then just plug into the factory harness for your ground and power wire. Your going to have to wire over to the fuse box for a constant source of power to save your presets.
ShawnW
What he said above... The factory wiring will only supply you with a switched power source and maybe a ground which you can find with a test light. You need to tap into some other circuit to get a constant for radio memory and run new speaker wires. I highly recommend 2 6x9's in truck boxes behind the seats. They JUST fit and will still allow you to put your T-tops in their holders. Two high end 6x9's that are 3 way will be more than enough for most people and you wont have to hack up your door panels or try to stuff tiny speakers into the dash.
