mcbrat
will the doors, fenders, and rear hatch off a '95 Outback fit on a '97?

TheYeti
95 "Outback" had the 2tone, but no big fogs and no raised suspension I beleive. Yes, the rear hatch doors and fenders should fit from 95-99 Gen2 legacy.
idosubaru
yep, all of those you mentioned 95-99 legacy parts will interchange. if it's an impreza outback sport they will interchange as well.
johnceggleston
there is one small exception. i think in 97, they added a post in the lower door jam of the rear doors. i think you can unscrew it and the 95 doors will fit perfectly. i don't know why they added it , but my 95 sedan doesn't have it and my 97 wagon does. In fact, I'm not sure if the regular legacy stuff will interchange with an outback due to the raised roof.
mcbrat
Legacy Outback. with the prices the yard is charging, it'd probably be cheaper for me to just have it painted.... rear hatch $200 drivers door $225 and I'd need both fenders as well, and I figure they'd charge 100 each for those!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! idosubaru
those prices seem through the roof to me as well. no, outback sport stuff will not interchange onto a legacy/outback. In fact, I'm not sure if the regular legacy stuff will interchange with an outback due to the raised roof. that's not what i said/meant. he said "outback", didn't mention if it was a legacy outback or impreza outback. so i listed details for both. legacy stuff will interchange with itself and impreza stuff will interchange with itself.
