Cougar
The code is for the sensor circuit, not the sensor. Check the wiring to the sensor for a faulty connection.

Cougar
Good to hear you are making progress. Try pulling the fuse for the ignition system to see how the engine shuts down then.

nipper
i am the shop why??? Was just wondering if the green diagnostic connector under the dash was hooked up, and then never disconnected. That is usually the reasons the fans are always on, along with other weirdness. nipper

nipper
yes i do, will try in the morning Weird fan action, without the green connnectors together, is one of the reasons to suspect the ECU. nipper
scrapdaddytatum
Weird fan action, without the green connnectors together, is one of the reasons to suspect the ECU. nipper so i swaped the ecu, no change, swaped all the a/c relays in the front fuse box, no change, when i pull the 10amp fuse in the underhood box the fan shuts off, both ecus acted the exact same everything on the car works fine, well a/c needs freon but thats it and frreon level should not turn on the fan this one is stating to bug me next idea......... scrapdaddytatum
Check the relay for the AC fan and see if the relay is bad or if something is turning the relay on. what could be turning the relay on im confused on this i have swaped all 4 little relays in the under hood fuse block with no change, also pulling the 10amp a/c fuse stops the fan a/c doesnt actually work---no freon and the switch on the inside is off, and the defrost is not on
Cougar
Something may be hooked up incorrectly. You could try disconnecting things to see if that will shut the fan down. There may be a problem within the AC controller that is causing this also.

Cougar
I think there is a module under the dash for the AC system. That is what I meant by controller.
