Turbone
Got them mounted up on Monday, just took pics this morning. I had painted one of the pugs months ago and posted it here, got a good response. So I painted 3 more. I used Krylon and they have about 4 coats each. Problem with that is they take forever to dry. I had them in the house for almost 4 days and then went to clearcoat them. The 1st one I did was looking great, then the paint started crackling Flippin paint wasnt dry enough. Oh well, not stopping now Thier winter tires, ok? Cant tell unless you look real close.
Numbchux
looks good....except for the bra :-\ those are the same tires I just got (although I traded them for a set of ultragrips on WRX wheels...)
Jerry DeMoss
Friggin' sweet! I love that style pugs and you made them look even better. That looks like a rally tire, would probly do quite well with that set up. Great looking rx man! Also how did you fill in the emblem on your center caps? Looks good as well. tizzle
ya, you should get rid of the bra, and give it to me. It covers up my rust spots:grin:
Left_coast*9
Turbone, come on, man you posted a pic of a dirty RX! Sheesh! jk, man those look awesome. What did you end up doing with my old GL-10? Still a parts car? Hey, if anybody else wants a set of PUGS like his, drop me a PM, I posted a set for sale in the Market. Turbone
Wow, didnt think I would get so many comments about the bra :-\ Thats on there for a reason. It covers a beat up hood, a dented right fender and other unsightly blemishes. These tires are for the street, not rallyX. I have seperate tires for that I filled in the lion emblem with JB Weld and then sanded them. If you get close enough, you can still see them. Been a relearning time for me. I've had the low profile tires on it for about a year and now I'm on the taller tires. Cant go around corners as fast as I used to:cool: And the car is dirty because I drive it everyday :-p Cant afford to wash it everyday too Where ya been Blake? Good to hear from you. Your old wagon is probably in the process of becoming another Japanese car right now

Turbone
your car is very HAWTTTT... but needs some lowerin' Heh, lets see you RallyX in a lowered RX :-p But yes, I will be upgrading next year to a EJ. And not because I'm getting older, just wiser Its pretty hard to be competetive in a 18yr old car.

r_kirky
I used rustoleum Metallic black on my pugs and was very happy with the paint. It dried in about a 1/4 of the time the gloss black did and did not clog the tip. Cost was about $1.00 More a can
Turbone
I bought some Rustoleum a few months back and hated it :-\ The paint would just splatter with no even film at all. I thru away a half can of it.
r_kirky
I had the same experience with the gloss black maybe that's why I was so impressed with the metallic:grin:
Turbone
Got some more newness today :-p 2.5" from the (gutted) DP cat back When he took the 2nd cat off from the DP section, little pieces came out. He tipped it down and molten chuncks fell out :-\ It was toast....gone. They refused to go straight back with no cat, even tho I said I had one in the DP. The boss said its a $75K fine if they get caught So I had to fork out $180 more for a high flow cat. So the whole job cost me $300 instead of the $120 it was going to. But oh, what a difference I also had them install a nameless SS muffler I got off of CL, pics to come tomorrow. But it still sounds like a Soob, not Honda rice. Throttle/turbo response is much better now. But I still have a problem, I think it may be the TPS. It stumbles bad at times. If you let off the throttle and give it gas again it will come back normal. I did find a leak on the TB, but its still having issues. I'll change the TPS in a few days. Once I get this fixed, its off to PIA for a dyno run.
