TheSubaruJunkie Posted December 12, 2003 Share Posted December 12, 2003 I dont think ive ever seen an Aviation EA81 with the prop in the front, i've always seen gear reduction box's on the rear of the crank, then attatched to the prop. GeneralDisorder Posted December 12, 2003 Share Posted December 12, 2003 Yeah - there's an exhaust heat sheild, and a riser "stove pipe" tube that delivers warm air from around the exhaust pipe into the air box. After the engine heats up, this is bypassed to get cooler, denser air via a thermovacuum operated flap on the intake of the air box. GD Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
