ejmartin
I've got a 99 legacy gt with a broken bumper cover and i was thinking i would replace it with an outback cover so i could have the bigger round lights and be a little different.. does anyone know if a 96 outback front bumber cover will fit on my 99 legacy gt?? Are they the same?? thanks in advance!!

subaru360
The cover will fit. You might need the outback grille. The Outback grille is taller than the standard legacy grille. They both mount the same, but if you put a legacy grille on an outback, there is a gap at the bottom. The Outback bumper cover has a dip in the top for the outback grille. I don't know if the legacy gt has the taller grille, I don't think so. You may also need the outback bumper beam, not sure on that, if you are going with aftermarket foglights it might not matter. thatswhatshesaid
Would any of the wiring for the foglights change? It doesn't seem that it would, but I've never cracked a GT bumper open to look.
subaru360
I just noticed somebody around the corner from me has a LGT sedan. It looks like the LGT has the same taller grille as an Outback.
