Major Lazy
OK, Probably a silly question but I swear I have looked and cant find the rear defrost switch on the '87 RX i just bought from XSNRG. He had this thing all rally crossed out (ie stripped) so maybe he removed it?? There are most definitely defrost wires in the rear window , so anyone with a similar car tell me where there switch is located? Thanks, Lazy
Turbone
It should be on the very left of the inst panel, top button. Thats where mine is, its a 89.

TheSubaruJunkie
It would normaly be right here: As you can see, I removed mine to install my boost gauge too. Not sure what his panel looks like, but if you remove it, you will find the plug for the defrost switch. its the only switch that is on that panel from the factory, so it should be the only plug back there. Just wire it up to a toggle switch and your golden. -Brian
daeron
Factory cruise control On/off switch went right underneath the rear defrost button, too... but its not a common option.

So I'm gonna try and NOT be a D**K to you, okay? would it be possible for you to please not post stuff that you "think". Unless you know an answer for sure, it would be best if you just read along with the rest of the class and learned some stuff. This is a scan I just made for you, from 1983 owners manual. I would have used a Loyales but I didn't want to spend any more time digging through owners manuals. Just think, if they had it in 1983, why would they not have it into the early 90's:confused:  Sorry to seem harsh, but you don't seem to get it when others have told you the same thing in other threads in a nice manor.
