TheSubaruJunkie
I installed this thing a few months ago. Just now got around to taking some pix. I bought this setup from a guy on the LegacyCentral board. came with the hoses, i used the stock Legacy Bypass Valve (after some slight modifications. So far its a pretty nice setup. Im still running stock boost. It dropped from 7psi to about 5psi at max boost. I have a boost controller I have yet to install. Can't really notice the difference with the Auto Gearbox sucking all my power, but I know its doing some good. -Brian
Jerry DeMoss
Looks like a nice intercooler. Not super big but the core looks plenty thick. Is it a home made one?
TheSubaruJunkie
Yeah im sure it was custom made. Not sure what the history of it is.
ericem
Just wondering. When you have a turbo shouldn't the MAF sensor be mounted after the turbo or intercooler if you have one?? I always wanted to ask. Don't understand why its mounted right after the airbox unless its a NA.
TheSubaruJunkie
Nope. All turbo Subaru's have the MAFs in the same spot as all non-Turbo Subaru's. I have heard of people moving their MAF's so they are between the INtercooler and Intake, however as you can see in these pictures... there is no room at all to mount my MAF. Maybe if I had a front mount and a ton of pipe, but not with a top-mount. -Brian
