How wide is an EA81 wagon?

Just wondering how wide is an EA81 wagon without mirrors or protruding trim?I have an 89 dodge cummins 4x4 pickup. The tailgate almost seems just slightly larger than the width of an EA81.I have seen pics that show that a samurari can fit in the back of my truck. An ea81 vehicle is pretty narrow...So how wide is an EA81 vehicle with out mirrors or other removable bits..my offroad toy is on tractor tires so I can't go over 20 mph with it.I can't use a tow dolly to get it to offroad places, car trailers are expensive. What about putting it in the bed of my truck...

the wheelbase is 96.3In so just over 8 ft.So I just need to make some sort extension for the wagon to ride on...Anyone happen to how how much the front overhand protrudes in front of the tire?I think I need to visit the offroad forum and see if I can find appoach angle for a stock wagon then do a bit of trig..I will be sure to take some pic of wagon in the bed.

Yeah IDK? I guess Chilton doesn't have that in there book?

So that sounds like a new challenge... 14ft into a 8ft bed?? If you could get a 15ft piece of 2-3" steel sheet and lay that in the bed and then put the rear half of the wagon on that.. But i dunno where you could get a hugh steel sheet? And the price would be outragus!

Good luck

I dont even have a CLUE where to begin estimating the weight of that piece of steel.

Not the slightest glimmering of an idea. 2 tons, three? Four or more? If it were plywood it would probably only weigh about 300-500 pounds, but steel is a good bit heavier.

You need to think your ideas through a little further before posting them, my friend.
