two part question adding a bung to water outlet and who can weld aluminum in portland

Recommended Posts

I am wanting to add a bung to the water outlet so i can run an after market temp gauge on a ej25

anyone ever had luck doing this or is it a waste of time.

if it's not a crazy idea move on to the second part

do you or do you know anyone that it pretty good with an aluminum welder, i just need an air tight weld, no crap if i can avoid it.

ah hell it can look like crap if it needs to i just need it not to leak.

I was planning to do that myself but was hoping to slip the sender into the hose or maybe put a fitting in the top hose to fit the sender to

I just found out that these temp gauges stay the same from about 160 to 205 deg f what are others experiences and temp readings Michael

Do you mean the stock gauge? Can anyone confirm? I can easily see it, but if true and/or spec, then a modification/second gauge is very much in order. I mean, if you temp gauge read the same but is actually athe the top of the 205 range, that's pretty near 'uncomfortable'.

Im in Bellingham Wa I could have it welded

i was pretty sure you were going to chime in, but damn it man you are soooo far away.

with gas as much as it is i don't just go on my random road trips as much as i used to.

i might check with the guys that i bought my welder from and see if there is any way of running aluminum through it.
