The Beast I Drive
I read something about using a GM alternator on an xt6, I haven't had the need for more power on my ea82 though, so I haven't tried it on mine, and I don't know if it would work on a ea82, but it might be wirth looking into. I think the dual range trannys are supposed to have the nuetral safety switch, but mine was removed, along with the clutch safety switch, but it is supposed to be there. -Bill

ivantruckman
i put a 70 amp gm alt on my gl. i can buy a compleat rebuind kit including a stator winding , all bearings reg, diode trio, etc for 25 bucks on ebay, the hatachi diode asy. cost me 30 bucks, plus the gm alt is good for 70 amps, you can buy a kit to convert it to 90 amps. it was a very easy conversion
