EVOthis Posted November 16, 2007 Share Posted November 16, 2007 hello all....i have a problem with something to do with my defroster....every time i press the button for my front defroster the AC compressor turns on....anyone else with this problem...by the way it is a 1996 subaru legacy with a 2.2 liter engine...any help or insight would be appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In the wintertime, the defroster will kick on the AC compressor because it keeps the system lubricated since you're not using the AC during the winter. I believe it also helps pull the moisture out of the air inside the car as well but not sure on that one. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
