Qman
...In the end, it gets old hearing people rag on GD for being realistic in the face of repetitive pointless subjects; its just another step in the feedback loop. Like the subject header says... "Ram Engines again..." It also gets tiring hearing him describe someone younger than him as senseless, stupid, rediculous, etc. The list goes on. Maybe ask him who taught him how to pin an EA engine. You do not get smart out of the womb. Someone has to teach you. Either from seeing it or reading it. Try sharing the info instead of being an _ _ _! And BTW, this isn't a debate so forget that argument as well.

Try sharing the info instead of being an _ _ _! I agree - I'm getting tired of posting it. But for all the knowledge YOU have Ken (and I mean that in the best way possible - you have a lot), I don't see you shareing it. Now I'm in no way judging you, or Mick, or Shawn or any of the others that have been here for ages and know most of this stuff - I'm sure you are busy, busy people with families and other obligations that I don't have, but *someone* needs to set people straight sometimes. I'll tone it down a bit. I often try to make my argument as forceful as possible (within reason, if you can beleive that ) in order to not have to post back and defend a less-forceful argument later. Although - thinking about it that usually just causes more frustration and I have to post anyway explaining myself further..... So it's sort of a lose-lose sitatuion I guess. I just don't want to end up never posting anything like a lot of the "old-timers" around here through total frustration over noobs and "kids" with wild ideas. It will happen eventually anyway I'm sure. GD

GD How many people, back in the day, when they first heard that someone wanted to stick an EJ22 into a EA and keep the stock transmission, thought it was a wild/stupid idea. I'm sure the idea wasn't taken as "Oh, yeah, sounds great, do it." Probably something like "What the hell...that'd be too much work to be worth it." was said. I'm saying that yeah, ideas are crazy, but they shouldn't be shot down. Here's a quote to think about: ""There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home." -Ken Olson, president, chairman and founder of Digital Equipment Corporation, 1977"

Gloyale
Dain']Content editted by Qman That's not a very "nice" thing to say. He's trying to chill out. And besides he's ussually right(mostly) espescially with EA81. Read old posts and you'll see I've been frustrated with him too but you gotta respect. And have a tough skin. [HTi]Johnson
Read old posts and you'll see I've been frustrated with him too but you gotta respect. And have a tough skin. I know. But that's like a kindergarten teacher yelling at his students because they don't know what he knows and have stupid ideas. As for Dain's comment, I don't know what that was about, kinda uncalled for.

It will happen eventually anyway I'm sure. GD Here's the deal. I have moved on to EJ's and Impreza's. Not because the EA series isn't a good platform or doesn't provide enough power, blah, blah, blah... These topics have been covered in the past and will be covered again in the future. They keep coming back because we keep getting new members. It has nothing to do with being a noob or silly or senseless or even unsmart. It has to do with people wanting to improve their current situation in the current vehicle. And... I do not post as much as I used to. I have other interests that take up a huge amount of my time. I still come here though. I read a lot of the posts. Some of them I respond to some I do not. Most people here are not able or willing to put the kind of time and money neccessary to build the stuff I built. Those that are usually contact me directly. I prefer that way. So, let's tone it down a bit and let the newer members grow a bit. It will benefit everyone in the end.

beataru
It has to do with people wanting to improve their current situation in the current vehicle. Thank you, thats exactly what I am about! I dont have the cash right now to dump into an EJ, now people would ask "not enough money? its not that expensive" true, but if and when I get an ej engine wether it be in the blueroo I have now, or some Impreza L or somethign like that in the future, I will build it up, and I will build it up right. 165 hp for an EJ25d is great, but not enough for me.
