lmdew
It's been so long since I've been into a Subaru that is low miles, I forget if the RH idler with the red seal goes top or bottom. This motor has two black pulleys that need to be replaced.
porcupine73
The one with the single row of bearings (red) goes on the bottom. The double row bearings (black) goes on the top. Subaru now just lists the double row (black) for both positions. The bottom has less load on it; hence I guess the single row bearings was sufficient there. avk
The current p/n for the lower pulley is same as for the upper, that is both are now double-row, integral design. With aftermarket kits, you still get two different ones.
