sittingbull
I just started having a problem with my running lights staying on with the ignition switch off. The headlights go off but the rest stay on. Anybody had the same problem? Anybody got a fix?
idosubaru
are you sure i doesn't have a "parking light" switch somewhere? it's easy to hit that button on some subaru's and leave them on without knowing it.
OB99W
Welcome to the forum. Try the parking light switch on the top of the steering column.
porcupine73
Hi sittingbull and to the board! Yes that parking light switch (aka the drain battery switch) often gets bumped on when dusting/cleaning or performing other activities in the car. brus brother
The "kill battery" switch gets us all one time or another. Having passed the "Doh" test, feel free to have head gasket issues anytime you want now.
sittingbull
By doggie's that's what it was. I have never really paid no attention to that switch. Thought it was the hazard flashers. Thank you so much, I really thought the ole girl was fallin apart on me.

jeffx
I always appreciated the "idiot light" feature on my old gen subs--kept me from running down the battery quite often, I'm sure. The manual, at least for the 98 OBW isn't very clear about the procedure for turning the parking lights off or on. :-\
