Caboobaroo
Got a nice tint job done a few weeks ago but weather was poor to get pics until last week. Took it out for a bit of a shoot on Juanita point in Kirkland with my awesome Kodak camera:rolleyes: So here's a few pics starting with my favorite to show the Hella Supertones off! And of course, my favorite from the Hatch Patrol Xmas tree run!

Where is those obsidian black painted ground effects at ?? In the garage since I don't want to put them on before I get the car painted. My bodykit would look 10x better then the rest of the car:rolleyes: Tint is 35% on the front windows and 15% on the back quarters and rear hatch. Caboobaroo
Everytime i see someone elses RX it makes mine look more and more like Well you have to realize what exactly I have done to this car. Its not a "true" RX but close enough to one that it basically IS one. Car is a true '87 GL coupe. 3AT FWD automatic with a SPFI EA82. Engine was replaced with another SPFI engine since the original was blown, 3AT was swapped for an RX gearbox, rear LSD and RX suspension, full 5-lug conversion with ebay coilovers, black RX front and rear bumpers and other doodads here and there. Original car:
2K4 STI
Which Ebay coilovers are you using? Im using a passenger side door from a 87 GL thats in the JY.Same color as yours too.Actually its gave up alot of parts for my RX
daeron
Looks GREAT man, can't wait to see it with the ground effects on. What does this car sound like? I can't recall hearing a good, loud-enough exhaust system on an NA engine yet.... In that rear view photo, it almost looks like you've got some camber issues on your passenger side rear wheel.... is that just a photo illusion???? Oh, and make sure you let us know when it gets EJ20 DOHC STI goodness:burnout:
Caboobaroo
I do have a vid right after I got the engine running. Its actually the first time I tried to fired up the car! Here's the vid http://rides.webshots.com/video/3057704240067339125SSoyCq Ebay coilovers are the cheapo ones for a '93-'01. Rear camber on that side is a bit thwacked out and I've been too lazy to fix it yet. Not much but enough to look it.
daeron
sweet! while I may yet be crazy, my thoughts on seeing that photo are NOT evidence of such. Sounds like you were being sarcastic about a crummy camera? if so, I feel for you on that one; those are well framed shots (and the snowy one is GREAT) but it stinks trying to get nice photos like that, then looking at the high res shot and seeing how much nicer it could be... Its the coils and adjustable sleaves. testy
Do you have the part numbers for your coil overs and any info on modifications you needed to make?
Caboobaroo
No part numbers just the el cheapo coilovers for an '93-'01 Impreza from ebay. No modifications needed either but I'm also running Impreza struts in the front as well as RX rear shocks (same as any EA82). Coilovers slip over in place of the stock coils and adjust as needed. testy
awsome. This would be nice on my XT. I wasnt aware we could bolt impreza struts to the ea82s front. Thanks.

Umm its a bit more complex then that. I'm also running a complete 5x100 coversion on this as well, which is why it bolts in. Plus I had to put the tophat from the EA82 strut onto the Impreza strut.
