Sonicfrog
Anyone have one? Mine is leaking and I want to replace the seal. Would help if I know what to look for.
GeneralDisorder
Not worth fixing. Too cheap used. Also depends on the type of pump you have. Some have the pulley held on differently. GD
[HTi]Johnson
Anyone have one? Mine is leaking and I want to replace the seal. Would help if I know what to look for. Take the pulley off, I've only come acrossed the one's with the center nut (19mm head, I think), pull the seal off the shaft and take it to a bearing place or something like it...maybe you have more reliable autoparts stores than me down here. Gloyale
As you can see by thi diagrahm, The seal is BEHIND the bearing. Whole pump has to be disassembled to replace the seal. New pumps are around $50, used ones should be no more than $20 at a J-yard. Best options unless you really want to rebuild yours.
Skip
The G's (D and Loyale) are giving you the right stuff. You might want to try some "Lucas" PS fix first. Cheap "whatagot to loose" trial.

Not the PS stuff, because our cars use ATF not conventional PS fluid.
Sonicfrog
Thanks all. I'll probably hit the J-Yard this week-end and get the things I need.
