scoobyclimbs
Team CF and I ventured up Lolo pass from Zig Zag only to be treated with great views of Hood on the way... However , the shroud of clouds blocked Hood at pass... Once at the top we tried the power line spur climb for a nice view...after a couple of tries ...we then chained up our front tires. Once up top we had a bit of lunch...and enjoyed the view of the pass. At the junction we decided to take fs rd spur 100 which is the short cut through the pass...there were about four obstacles that were not so friendly...I stuck myself or wedged my front and rear bumper in a steep whoop...doh... Good thing were were prepared...I dug out the maddox and removed chunks of packed snow from the back...and a couple of quick pulls with a recovery strap Team Cf got me out... So now we decided to head down the main pass rd...and came upon six full size pickups(chained fronts) . We pulled off the side to the let them pass...they barely got by us...diggin in and sliding all over the place. Team Cf had slid the back end in some deep stuff so I returned the favor and pulled him out.... We had no problem with the new snow....it was better than last weekend...However, the big 4x4's made a mess of the track...one of them had got stuck (suburban) but finally got out... We now got all the way through the pass....and headed over to Middle mtn...S.Gilhouley rd...only to be greated by a closed gate... So off to Pine mount rd FS rd 17...and some spurs...it was dark now and we were blazing...out overheads as fresh snow fell ....We decide to turn around near Surveyors ridge... We decided to hit the Eliot glacier public house (parkdale)for a pint . Later we headed over hwy 35 to white river snowpark for a few cookies... with our overheads on ...it looked like a couple of UFO's were landing... Here's a few pics..Team Cf has more.. TeamCF
Time to share what I was able to get with my dead batteries. The GL just sittin' pretty on a hill. The lunch stop. Scooby in the offending washout. They are so easy in the dry. But with snow all the angles change on ya. Back under way and past the fullsize 4X4s that seemed to be trying to get themselves stuck for good. And last but not least the video of Scooby trying to warn ships of the coast. Got some more of my "one hand on the camera while off-road" footage too. Really gotta stop doing that, but I wanted the footage. It was a good time, even though we ended up not getting as much trails in as we wanted. All the snow is always a good test.

scoobyclimbs
Killer pics and story Greg. I'm jealous that I haven't had any time to enjoy some snow myself. The lighthouse video is about the coolest one I've seen in a long time. Wow! Looks like it's time to quit messing around and time to get taller. :-p Dual range it, the whole shebang man. Yeppers ..that's the plan...I'm working on a body lift and swampers for WCSS10....I just need to get a hold of a 5mt w/D/R from the land of OZ...cha..ching... Maybe the house refi will allow for that D/R trans... mind you this is my daily driver so I need to find an OBS... of course you can always loan me your brat...
