EVOthis Posted December 23, 2007 Share Posted December 23, 2007 Hey Guys....I have seen this on a few threads here and was wondering what exactly they are talking about......when someone refers to a part of the brake system as 1 pot, or 2 pot, or 4 pot......what specifically is the "pot" refering too or what does it stand for??????? porcupine73 Posted December 24, 2007 Share Posted December 24, 2007 Right on 'pot' is the piston. It also depends how it is laid out. i.e. two pot floating calipers might have both pistons on one side, sitting on sliders so that the caliper can center itself on the rotor when applied.
