SkipII
Sorry, make that an '05 Legacy. Typo This is my wife's car and first I have worked on it. I see the two threaded holes on the rotor car--so I assume that means I thread a bolt through there to pull the rotors off the hub?
john in KY
If the rotors have never been removed, there should be 2 Phillips screws. Remove them and the rotor should almost fall off.
SkipII
Again, sorry for typo, but it is an '05 Legacy. there is no Phillips screw. It looks like a threaded hole for a bolt to push the rotor off the hub. I'm looking for the bolt size.
yohy
Typically they are an 8-mm bolt and you would need 2.
WoodsWagon
Try a couple smacks with a hammer from the backside after you have the caliper bracket off. Sometimes the rust can hold them in place a bit. If you have new rotors to go on, feel free to get agressive. Or you could use the 2 bolts to push it off, your choice. Setright
Yep, M8 bolts will help to push off a disc. I assume you know that the caliper support bracket has to come off too
