cd45
I went to the gun range today. Did not do too bad. On the way home the idler pulley on the drivers side locked up. When that happened, most of the teeth on the belt went away. It still ran fine but, it made a funny noise with what was left of the teeth on the belt slipping over the locked gear. I pulled over and turned the car off. Started checking, cut the belt off, and found the problem. Called all the parts stores in the area and only one had what I needed, Advance Auto. They had the gear for $36 and a new belt for $19. I paid $9 to get the pulley delivered before the 15th. It will be here on Wednesday. Now I sit and wait until the parts get here. I will pull it home if a little while so I don't have to worry about it getting trashed on the side of the road. I am ordering the new parts for the Brat this Friday. monstaru
springfield 1911.i am in the process of building a springfield gi up with some much desired mods.it will pretty much be just like the customs they sell.i really like old clanky gi models ,really i do.but 3.5 lbs versus 5.5 to 6 is way easier on the pointer if ya know what i mean. i personally like to build my stuff.but this is the first one i have done since i was a lot younger.things sure have gotten cheaper(cost).cheers, brian
chef_tim
This will probably get us thrown into Off Topic but my carry side arm is an AOC 1911. Probably not the greatest piece of craftsmenship but it will get the job done if needed
