GeneralDisorder Posted January 16, 2008 Share Posted January 16, 2008 If it's carbed then there's no vacuum signal to the distributor at idle with the throttle closed. So it really doesn't matter, and shouldn't actually affect your timing settings either way. Disconnecting them really isn't even required because of this.
