I have a stock bumper and I need some ideas on how to mount it so if you could take a picture of how yours is mounted and post it I would be very grateful thanks in advance TT. ScottG
Why don't you get a hitch designed for the Soob? I got one for my '86 GL Wagon. I pull a small trailer with my riding mower on it....does great. ScottG

Davalos
When I called, U-Haul wanted like $200+ for a special one for my Soob (90 Loyale). I'd love to find a used one, or a cheaper-made one. Class I is fine.

ScottG
I got my trailer hitch used. But I Googled 'trailer hitch for Subaru' & got quite a few hits. Check out the following: http://www.racepages.com/parts/subaru.html They've got Class I hitches for 80-86 Soobs for $42.95 advertised - sweet! MilesFox
When I called, U-Haul wanted like $200+ for a special one for my Soob (90 Loyale). I'd love to find a used one, or a cheaper-made one. Class I is fine. the last time i looked up a soob hitch it was located near detriot. the price they gave you shouldhav ebeen factoring labor. you should be able to get that hitch for closer to 160-175 i would believe. but i no longer work at the u-haul check draw-tire/valley/thule since that are the manufactures vending to u-haul the one listed with u-haul is while supplues last, life cycle W, probably no longer in production. you could go with any generic bumper mounted tongue style hitch, some universal fit type. RenaissanceMan
Make your reciever INTO your bumper I've used this to tow other cars on trailers (not dolley), motorcycles, etc... cant complain one bit. The only thing that worries me is the brat not having enough "mass" to keep all four feet on the ground in an emergency.
markjw
There is a decent hitch bolted to the back of a '89 loyale at the Tumwater PAP. Looks to be along the lines of what Uhaul might sell. I saw it today. This doesn't really help you, woundedbrat, but maybe someone wants to go grab it..I think there hitchs are a flat rate $35.

Can't blame you for trying but I can fabricate with the best of them. just wanted some examples on how to mount it so I don't have my trailer passing me on the highway.
