TeamCF
So I had went to the dealer and bought 2 new downpipe to head gaskets for the exhaust. They are way to big. My downpipe goes right through the holes. (the holes are 2 1/8" across) They are part # 44022GA340. Think maybe they gave me the wrong ones? Gotta get this thing all sealed up for DEQ. I'm running some old RX7 gaskets I had around on it now but they recently gave up the fight. Wondering if it's worth my time to run all the way back to the dealer or if thats all they will have. [HTi]Johnson
So I had went to the dealer and bought 2 new downpipe to head gaskets for the exhaust. When you say "downpipe" I think of the pipe coming off the back of the turbo. Do you mean the "Y"pipe that comes off the heads and into the catylitic convertor? TeamCF
Yeah that's the one I mean. Sorry for the confusion. Just a plain old non turbo EA81. The gaskets between the Y-pipe and the heads.
GLCraig
That part number comes up as a gasket for a Justy, when I did a search. What I would do is call up Lithia Subaru on Oregon City and ask for Paul in the parts department. He has about 30 years of subaru parts experience. He should be able to get you the part number of the gasket you are after. If he's not avliable, Leah is pretty good at looking up the parts on the older Subarus. I've ben going to the dealer in Gresham as it's easy for me to get to but the one in Oregon City is just about as close.
