Hondasucks
The difference is whether or not the car had factory AC. One type of pump the fan hub bolts to the water pump istelf, with the same bolts that hold the pulley on, with the other type, the pulley is bolted to the hub on the water pump, and the fan is bolted to the pulley. (These have a "cap" that is bolted to the pulley) Problem is, I do not know which one is which hub type.
Gloyale
Look at the distance from the end of the pump body to the begining of the hub. How much exposed shaft is there? If it is a gap of 1/8" (very little exposed shaft)you need the shorter 105mm pump. If the gap is more like 7/16" (almost a pinky's width of exposed shaft)you need the longer pump. It is dictated by application Dealer or Factory A/C, XT or GL, so on.... But with so many swapped motors and incorrect part listings this is the easiest way to tell. Just look at how far the hub is pressed onto the impellar shaft. now that I read this, it sounds dirty

MilesFox
the 105mm would be the AC version with the the hub closer to the pump bpdy on the shaft, and the pulley bolts to it. typical of turbos with the hitachi (square) compressor the 110 mm would be the studded hub that is on the end of the shaft, and is typical of spfi's with the matsu************a (round) compressor the panasonic compressors are typical of dealer installed AC
