Not too bad and stoppable at this stage. Talk too your auto paint people for advice.

 

My 2 cents: Here is advice I got from others on the site

To treat rusted area use "Rust-Mort" basicly remove dirt, large chunks and brush on. Let it sit a day and do it again. Then primer over and paint, but better yet cover with "Pro-15" sealer.

that car is not a Idaho Car it's whole life i will be money on that.

also, its POR-15 (paint over rust treatment, or paint on rust treatment) but for sure not a Idaho car, it was driven ioutside of idaho in salt land to get that rust

My 88 GL wagon is almost rust-free. I think that the car has eluded the rust monster by never stopping, the Blue Meanie has over 237k miles!

 

I had a '56 Hudson that had a rust problem. I used a spray treatment that looked like primer, but it stopped the rust from spreading. It was like a cancer cure in a can!
