Mike W
I've wondered if anyone ever carbed an EJ. Nice looking conversion. Those sprint boats are sick! Like rally in water but on land if you miss the turn. I just checked the schedule and it looks like Speed will be airing some races. http://www.speedtv.com/schedule/index.php?m=&d=&week=&ts=&wholeMonth=10&subcat=&program=uim&usecal=no&startMonday=
TomRhere
I likes it! Mike; I think that's a type of flexible pipe. I've used some in the past, but it looked different than that pictured there. It's solid pipe, but you can bend it by hand easily. Ummmm, Where's the water pump? I no can see it. Skip
Mike's right, Jetsprint racing is way kewl. The series is mainly run in OZ and NZ but there is a section of their series run in America. The "track" if you will, is carved out of land next to rivers. Two people (driver and "navigator") in 4.5 meter long boat, in the pro section they run with massive V8's and special jet drives. The EJ pictured is a bit tamer. Here is one link to them and some info about the racing in Washington state. http://www.jetsprintracing.com Espn and Speedvision cover the series. Mike W
I bet the jet drive supplies the water for cooling the engine. The sand trap listed on the parts page must filter out some of the crud. But it still seems like there must be some nasty looking stuff flowing through those expensive engines. I got to looking for pics too and found these crash sequences: http://www.sprintboat.org/modules/xoopsgallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=wrecks&page=1 http://www.lewisriver.com/woodland/sprintboats/2003/
PHATBRAT
Yeah those things are fast as hell! I see them on the Speed channel. I bet that engine rips!
