oil pump seals

Recommended Posts

Hey, I just intalled a seal set in my oil pump (EA82 non-turbo).

Maybe I can still pull the packages out of the waste bin and get the #'s for ya........Local Soob dealer had all in stock, though not actually sold as a set.

"mickey-mouse" gasket looks like it sounds......and is imperative to good oil pump function. Kind of pear shaped with two "ears" on one side......to seal the inlet and outlet from the oil filter (I think?)

Mickey Mouse is NAPA/Victor # B45702

Pump seal is NAPA/CR #7205

For the other O-ring, all I see is the kit mentioned earlier by Flow that has it all - Beck-Arnley #039-6320 - NAPA sells as well.

If you want to do the crank and cam seals, the best seals NAPA sells are in the timing cover gasket set NAPA/Victor JV-1028 - it also has the rubber timing cover gaskets, the oil pump seal, and a couple of thin seals I can't identify

The third seal is the shaft seal or "main". You have to remove the TB pulley from the front of the pump. You can use a cut open piece of rubber hose to pad the jaws of some channel locks or a vise to hold the pump rotor still and then loosen the nut that holds the pulley on. Don't nick or ding the pump rotor!
