bratsrus1
Hi This is Jerry, well some of you know that i am converting a 2.2 to a carb. I got a 96 2.2 imperza engine that i needed to replace the timing belt on and i have a 92 legacy factory manual so i put all the marks in the right place it shot gas about 2 feet in the air. I thought bent valves so i got all new valves it did the same thing. The next thing was to bring my other 2.2 legacy to the shop and check the timing on it.The timing was set different so i reset the timing on my imperza engine it runs now, i think my book has a misprint. I am a happy camper:clap: Thanks Jerry
Legacy777
How did you set the timing up? All you need to do is align the marks on the cam pullies to the marks on the timing belt cover, same goes for the crank gear mark. Did you use the arrow on the front of the crank gear instead of the mark in the back?
