mellow65 Posted April 2, 2008 Share Posted April 2, 2008 stage 3 clutch for a GL. that's what albie from AA is running behind his monster wrx powered touring wagon. he says he can't get it to slip. but starting off slow it a pain he says he sometimes puts it in 4 lo just to get rolling then puts it back in 2 hi to drive. but he has also gone through 3 trannys and like 4 or 5 rear ends, so don't expect them to live very long. baccaruda Posted April 2, 2008 Share Posted April 2, 2008 Your best bet with that setup is probably going to be an XT6 clutch made extra-heavy-duty, if possible. With a kevlar facing on the clutch. Really, you're best off with a Legacy or WRX transmission. More durable and more clutch options. post pics of the car to prove this isn't an April Fool's day joke.
