Subarat
I can not remember where the ignition switch plugs in to! The wires are blue and yellow w/ a green plug. There is nothing to match in the wiring harness. The closest match I have with a plug is a white plug with a green and green w/yellow stripe wires. If any one can help me I would be very greatful. Subarat
That's how tired I am. My brain is mush. The vehicle is an 85 Brat GL. Thanx for the wake up.
GeneralDisorder
The ignition connector is pink, has 5 conductors, and a 6 pin plug. One of the corner pins is not occupied on EA81's (it's the hot-in-start pin as used on SPFI EA82's for the ECU start signal). So I'm not sure what you have there, but it certainly is not an ignition switch plug. Perhaps if you elaborate on the sitation that led you to this assumption and why not having it connected is a problem I could be of more assistance? GD I pulled the whole dash out and went thru everything. Thought I did a pretty good job marking stuff but have a few items that I am confused about. 1. there is a pair of long wires [about 12 inches], 1 is yellow & 1 blue, attached to a small [about 1/2 inch square] black plastic "box" at the bottom of the ignition cylinder. It has a green plastic connector, in the shape of a T, with two spades inside that corispond with the T shape of the connector. There is nothing else like it in that area to attach it to. 2. On the steering column shaft, at the brace for the computer, there is a ground wire. It is black, about 12 inches long and attached to the column with a screw. The loose end has an "O" connector like it should have a bolt thru it. I am guessing that this goes to 1 of the computer mounting bolts ? I do not remember where it came from. 3. The computer sensor that flashes the codes has a threaded "stud" on the back side. I can not remember what attaches to it and nothing in that area looks like it should attach to it. If anyone can advise me on any of these problems I would very much appreciate it. Thanx

That's for the key warning chime. You can just leave it hanging if you don't care. Otherwise I'm not sure what to tell you other than you must be missing the mate to it. Got to be there somewhere I'm sure. 2. On the steering column shaft, at the brace for the computer, there is a ground wire. It is black, about 12 inches long and attached to the column with a screw. Check behind the left front speaker. That's the usual location for the dash ground. 3. The computer sensor that flashes the codes has a threaded "stud" on the back side. You got me there - the ECU for feedback carb's has a built-in LED that flashes codes.... so I'm not sure what you are refering to. GD

GeneralDisorder
I just pulled a column from the junk yard today and that ground wire you refer to attaches to the column mounting bolt on the left side. Such was the case with the 82 column I was pulling anyhow - it had a feedback ECU as well so I'm assuming it's the same as yours. GD
