zukiru
so my uncle has a junkyard........ and in it is a BRAT. it was my great uncles. so we can get a title. my uncle is being tight about it but hell it's just sittin getting more rusty. (and less and less likely to run) my great uncle told me it had carb issues and was surprised I even liked it. the kicker is I remember sitting in the jump seat as a kid........ it's one of my first memories. what's the easiest way to replace the carb? and by easiest I mean simplest/cheapest/least headake I am going to see if my great uncle to get my not-so-great uncle to give me the brat, lol cause I don't want it to get crushed for crushing's sake,. what's a brat worth in scrap? maybe I can get it that way. 78 BRAT same year I was born... lol
Durania
I could barely understand your post with all the run on sentences. Carb solution: Buy a weber.
zukiru
I am feelin poetic. if I cannot get it given to me what should I offer for it. most he will get out of it is scrap price. (or it's jumpseats sold to go in a chevy.... ugh) I want to save it. I may want to save it, get it running and sell it to a good home. I may love it. I may hate it but it shouldn't sit. weber has a direct bolt on replacement?
zukiru
it looks like this one....... and only slightly not as pretty.
backwoodsboy
That sucks.... Scrap steel is pretty high right now. I think it is 2 hundred + (per ton) in NY state.... not sure about down south there. A non-rusted out 78 brat should be worth at LEAST 400 bucks.... even NOT running these days. Offer him 300.... get the darn thing titled... and we'll help you get it runnin good! There are far worse forums that *************** about grammar homie... Steel scrap has peaked, and gone back down here in Colorado. Something like $150 a ton, and goes down by $20 each few weeks. I agree, offer $300, title the sucker, and let us help ya get it rocking and rollin!

zukiru
yeah sorry I had just gotten out of bed when I wrote the thing about rudeness. sorry. as for the original post, I was totally in a "stream of consciousness moment". Thanks for the link. I will try and be more/less odd if it helps things. lol. (the thing I think that really got confusing in the post was the uncle and the great-uncle.) I passed by the brat today to day refresh my memory. not near as pretty as I remember. I think I will go get pics tomorrow. I may not can offer him anything just yet. I have a car I'm upside down in and no longer interested in. if I can sell it.. I will offer him 300 and if he says no maybe 5. anybody need a chrysler conquest TSI that needs a rebuilt motor?
