xforxlifex Posted December 29, 2003 Share Posted December 29, 2003 Sometimes at high rpm with the clutch fully depressed and i shift into second i get a quick grind. Its never done this before and it started last night. I havent checked the fluid level yet so that could easily be a possibility. any ideas why? skeet Posted December 29, 2003 Share Posted December 29, 2003 My first guess would be fluid level. After that I would hit the peace pipe and commune with the Transmission Spirits in my car. GeneralDisorder Posted December 29, 2003 Share Posted December 29, 2003 Your syncro's are dieing. They are a wear item. Replacement or rebuild of the trans is really the only permanent fix.
