michael appel
That was 1bignose 2 door 30 inch tires no lift that started out as a 2wd thats why I was asking about 30 inch tires it really makes his rig huge The ruts are deep and you will scrape but you can drive around to that was way to easy the shot was right after we pulled the landcruiser out of the hole
Spiffy
man, I really need to get a lift, or at least bigger tires, so I can go play with the big boys too... then I need to get on everybody's IM list so I can find out in advance about these things... those ruts, are scary, at least to my stock sube... I don't mind giving it a try when I have people to pull me out... but generally I drive around, as I enjoy the drive through the deep forest more than hunting out obstacles... definitely looks fun... --Spiffy

Spiffy
since most everyone in this thread (except Scott) is pretty much local to me you should all add me to your favorite messenger program... you all don't have yours listed in your profile so go to my profile and add me and send me a message... don't make me beg... c(: you know you want another subie with your crew to pull out of the mud... I mean, sure I'm stock now, but I'm working on it slowly... --Spiffy
chazmataz
alot of the places we go stock should do ok as long as you have some desent traction tires. since most everyone in this thread (except Scott) is pretty much local to me you should all add me to your favorite messenger program... you all don't have yours listed in your profile so go to my profile and add me and send me a message... don't make me beg... c(: you know you want another subie with your crew to pull out of the mud... I run snow tires all year, because you never know when you might need to do some impromptu off-roading in your daily driving... michael appel
yeah I might just stay with my hankook tires they are pretty cheap and I have full replacement
chazmataz
my DD has 14" Blizzaks on it that i run year round. before i got the 14"Pugs i ran studded wintercats on it when i had the 13" white wagon wheels then in the spring when studded tires we're suppose to come off i just removed the studs out of the tires and ran them. they worked great offroading they we're rated mud and snow. TeamCF
I'm sure we can give a yell when we go out Spiffy. We normaly just sent PM's on the board here to plan them. (Or at least I send bulk PM's here when I want everyone to come out and play... hehe) Get yourself some pugs with the biggest tires you can fit in the wheelwells. I know my rig suprises the heck out of me on a regular basis with that setup. (as I get braver, my Soob just seems to be there for me) But it did pretty well with the old 13's too. Just better now. Like Chaz said, There are alot of fun trails that a stock rig can hang on, and some that you need a little more but can proly get by with the right line or bypass. Are we hijacking Mike's thread? Or is sucking another one into the wheeling group a good use of any trail posting?

Gloyale
Sign me up for this list. I am in Cornvalley (Corvallis). I actually bought my GL Turbo in McMinnville though. Seriously, if you guys are doing a coast range off-road trip, I'm in. And my buddy Gemini will bring his 5" inch lifted legacy (2" susp/ 3" body) if it is finished. We are still making the front strut tops. Took a while to order in 4-3/4" steel tube.
chazmataz
no problem. would be nice to have a good size group of subarus off-roading. would show all the traditional wheelers what subarus can do. we'll keep you guys posted. but have nothing in the plans yet that i know of. Scott in Bellingham
man, I really need to get a lift, I can help with that
Spiffy
I can help with that and you're first on my list for pre-made lift parts... you get good reviews, and I just like the look of the parts with the SJR logos on them... I don't see aluminum 4" ea81 lifts on your site right now... but that steel one looks cool... but when the time (and money) comes I'll be getting in contact... --Spiffy
