one eye
A few months ago I had an 86 Wagon for sale and my buddy bought it from me for 450 bucks this is what it looked like I bought it back to day for 50 bucks this is what it looks like now The motor runs and the thing still drives on its own. just needs a radiator and a headlight and I think shes good to go!! Oh and what was hit, a 2007 PT Looser......... The subaru was going 55 to 60, at least that's what I was told. Jeff

Buddy
wow 55-60 mph??? these cars look to be pretty safe in high speed frontal collisions. this suby fared very well. ha and driving on its oun after being wounded severely, its wat makes a subaru a subaru. Buddy
one more thing. if the motor still runs, pull it out and scrap the body. that is no good anymore due to the severity of the damage. from the looks of it there is significant damage to the frame. so my suggestion would be pull the motor and tranny and scrap the body. but at least it gave its life for its owner

Kinda sucks to see one go down but I needed one bad, just hate to see one that I put so much time into come back like this. Jeff

audio_file
so THAT'S how you do it!! you buy a soob, fix 'er up, snipy snip the brake lines, and then buy it back for 3% of what you sold it for . . . i'm on to your plan now. [\going out to check XT6 brake lines] chris

The Dude Abides
junk it what. 3/4 of that car is ok. I can understand you dont want to drive it on the street so dont. Deditacted trail rig. Still runs and drives. Pull out the front a bit, replace the radiator. Mount some off road lights on the front and youve got a running driveing, already beat up trail vehicle. All you need is the lift. Ben
bheinen74
yeah, get a cheap harbor freight $8.99 come along, and find a sturdy tree, and start cranking that front back out. take a log chain, wrap around trunk of tree, hook in come along to chain, tie into holes in frame, crank it. throw in a radiator, top fluids. then trail it, or do like the aussies do and find a offroad arena and jump it around some.....posting on youtube

I think all the motor mounts and tranny mounts have been messed up too. Oh and reverse is a pain in the butt to get in. So I'm just going to do the 86 sedan Idea. Jeff yeah u guys remember this was a high speed crash so even tho the front looks like it can be straightened out u gotta consider the steering system and all the related components. a loose sterring column is a definite no-no. so that shell has got to go.
