PeterD
some may have seen my last post. i wrecked my 91 wagon last tuesday and thursday found a 90 wagon for sale same color as mine. The guy said it had an over heating problem and wanted something a little more dependable. :-\ so i bought it last night for $900, recent timing belt, gaskets, radiator, thermostat, tires, muffler, no major accidents, never smoked in and was family owned. 154k miles on it. It didn't come with cruise control but thanks to subaru all the plugs and mounting points were all in the proper location so i ripped my old cruise control out and installed it in the new car:) so far its running great with no over heating issues, although both steering rack boots are bad so i need to look into that. it does have some damage to the front drivers side corner but im working on fixing it the best i can, i put a new fender on off my old car today. the body isn't as nice as my old one but the interior is far better
EVOthis
the interior does look pretty good for the age and mileage of the car..... ill say you got a deal!
Jerry DeMoss
Very cool. I am at about the same point right now with my '92 turbo legacy. The body is rough and needs the front fenders and bumper replaced. They are fun cars indeed. My 2,000th post!!!!! Yay.
Rooster2
I had a 91 that looked just like both of yours. As mentioned, your new one has a nice interior for its age. My 91 had driver's seat rot, with the cover shredding off, and interior sponge padding flaking off. Nice your new one is same color as your old one. You can take the best of both cars to make one nice one. Have fun with your (new) Subie.
PeterD
the freakin motor is shot... keeps over heating.. everthing else is new. :banghead:i needed a car by saturday morning and now i have 3 cars that are not fit to drive anyware. my vw runs and drives but the interior is completely out. my other subaru is wrecked and i was stuped enough to pull everything off the block so now instead of swaping motors i need to pull and re install an intake manifold. i guess you gotta learn somehow. it couldn't be a more perfect week for it too. can a motor be installed in 3 evenings.:-\ im thinking positive and with enough time and good weather i think its possible,
mdjdc
I wish I was there to help. I can have one of those out in 2 hours and back in in the same, so three nights is very doable. Just be methodicle about it and keep all of the parts seperated so you know where they go. That makes reinstallation much easier and faster. Good Luck

Good Luck my big problem at the moment is weather. i have a tarp/temporary car port with one car under it and the car with the bad motor is in the rain. today i pulled the good engine cleaned it off and put some new gaskets on it. i had planned to have all the brackets and the intake manifold on and have it set to drop into the the other new subaru. but it raind and im soaked and im tired. tomorow is another day with clearing skys i hope. so if there are any subaru wizards in the renton highlands area willing to lend a hand..:-\

I had some horrable lifter tick that was freakin me out since i was taking off over the mountains on saturday morning. after a few searches i found out how to get rid of the tick. After a hard drive around the block it went away. I drove about 300 miles this weekend and it ran great with no problems at all. time to do some smaller work to it and hopefully many more years of subaru goodness.
