Turbone
I believe this is related to your problem in your previous thread. You need to get it checked out by a tranny shop with good references. Theres not to many things Bosch that I would put on/in my car and a oil filter is certainly one I wouldnt use. Wix, Purolator, Napa Gold. And definitely not Fram. Use the ebrake next time and you'll be fine.
triiifashions
so bosch is really a bad filter i was under the impression it was fairly good?
keltik
Well i can tell you for a fact their injection systems suck rump roast. I personally use AC Delco, Frams are really bad and the only bosch filter ive seen looked a bit cheap on construction. You could do worse but if its only gonna be on there for a couple thousand miles i wouldnt stress too hard.

Olnick
Re the oil filter: you don't need to go to a dealer (unless the dealer offers an excellent price.) As Turbone said--Wix, Purolator and Napa Gold are generally considered to be very good quality.
northguy
I experienced a different type of problem with the auto tranny not wanting to disengage from park. There is a, for lack of a more technical term, button beneath the trim around the shifter that can get gunked up by dust, or spilled soda, or whatever. If you depress it with a small screwdriver, or a pencil, or whatever handy thin object might be available, it shifts out of park quite easily. I have since sprayed it down with brake cleaner and then lubed it up and have had no more problems with it. You might give that a shot if it happens again. Rooster2
Agree, Fram standard line oil filters are really bad. I heard else where that there wasn't much to them. So, hearing that, I changed oil and filter, removed the Fram from my car, and made it a point to dissect the Fram oil filter. I cut it open to find very little inside the filter. I try very hard not to use Fram filters, but in a pinch, I use their top of the line, which has a little better reputation.
SubPar
I've used WIX with no problems, K&N is pricey (if you can find the right one), but I prefer the OEM.
