baccaruda Posted January 1, 2004 Share Posted January 1, 2004 i have an idea for that based on swapping to the XT4's power steering setup.. it holds the reservoir in a more lower and forward location, and if i've heard right before, the tank is the exact part that the choke hits, right? I happen to have the lines and pump/reservoir and bracket from an XT4. Anyone who likes can have them for shipping cost if they'd like to try it. I am thinking of ditching the power steering and AC, I do not need either one and I have found a donor vehicle for the manual steering, and alt.brackets for a non a/c, p/s car, I would save a tiny bit of weight and HP, not much though plus it would be easier to work on the engine. JonOfScio Posted January 6, 2004 Share Posted January 6, 2004 of course instead of getting a 32/36 DGEV you could always grab a 32/36 DFEV. (has the choke on the opposite side.) If anyone is interested, I have a DFAV. (reverse side choke, water assisted choke. more reliable than electric choke, some have mentioned. is correctly jetted for our little subes.) email or whatever if anyone is interested.
