hiltz2o
Just wanted to give a little update Sometimes when we have problems we automatically think of the worst possible scenario. But after hearing all of the calls for disaster on my 84 GL's hesitation problem... being told it was the feedback carb's fault, the code 14 being a disaster code and all that (just check the posts)... The whole problem was a severely clogged carb from having old gas sit in it for a long time. A couple fo sea foams, complete tune up, a berryman b12, some carb spray cleaner and presto!! The car has been running like a champ now for weeks, about 1000 miles of perfect running and 28.2 MPG (so much for that post that I would be lucky to get 15-20 MPG with the Code 14 on! Anyway have a nice day. Thank you all for the help. But one thing - just don't automatically assume the worst.
GeneralDisorder
The Hitachi's aren't terrible carbs, but most are pretty bad off after 25 years. Glad you got it running. The feedback system will cause problems eventually. It's only a matter of time with them. GD
